Democracy's pulse 1/27/07 in the Nation's Capital

In a show of spirited democracy, up to half a million americans marched on Washington DC., among other cities across the US, to protest against the Irak war and the Bush administration.

Military veterans and their families turned in large numbers reminiscent of the 1971 demonstrations this photojournalist was present at.

The marchers physically surrounded the US Congress for a few hours... will the legislators take notice ?
